This Cookie Policy explains how cookies are used on the Text Navigation web application accessible at app.textnavigation.com (the “application”). Text Navigation (the “Service”) is a United States-based SMS navigation service operated by Text Navigation (the “Operator”).
This Cookie Policy supplements, and should be read together with, the Text Navigation Privacy Policy. Where the use of cookies involves the collection or processing of personal information, the Privacy Policy governs. This Cookie Policy addresses cookies set in connection with the application.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on a user’s device by a website or application. They are commonly used to enable basic functions and to keep a user signed in as they move between pages. Cookies set by the site a user is visiting are described as ‘first-party’ cookies; cookies set by another domain are described as ’third-party’ cookies. No cookie used on the application is shared by the Operator with any third party for advertising, marketing, or tracking purposes. The application does not track users across other websites or services.
5. Third-party security cookies
The application is served through Cloudflare, which provides DNS and security services. Cloudflare may set a strictly-necessary security cookie to identify trusted traffic and to protect the application against malicious activity. Any such cookie is essential to the security of the application and is not used to track users or for any advertising or marketing purpose. 6. Why consent is not separately requested
The cookies used on the application are strictly necessary to provide the Service that a user has requested, namely access to and use of their account on the application. Cookies of this kind are generally treated as exempt from prior consent requirements, and applicable United States law does not require prior opt-in consent for essential cookies. Accordingly, the application does not display a cookie-consent banner or request separate consent for these cookies. By registering for and using the application, a user’s device will receive the essential cookies described in this Cookie Policy.
7. Managing and blocking cookies
Because the application uses essential cookies only, it does not provide a separate in-application cookie preference option.
A user may control or delete cookies through their browser settings. Most browsers allow a user to view the cookies stored on their device, to delete them, and to block cookies from being set; instructions are available within each browser’s help materials.
